Runner the Parkour

About the ART: by ok I am very pleased with this piece because I could never seem to get runner right or have a good enough pic of him to want to share it (lol stingie)

Name: Runner the hedgehog
Age: 26 At T.O.D. (time of death) would be 31 years if alive
yes he's dead in the big picture of red and ghosts' story's present

Runner was a great hedgehog in his time in fact most looked up to him ( both as an Icon and physically, being he was mostly on the roof tops. ) Not a day went by that runner didn't help someone out always keeping the city safe from any thing that threatened "his town" as he was often heard saying. The people of Central City started calling him "Runner the Free" and "Runner the Parkour" but as most great heroes he was often precieved as a lonely guy. Not to many people would travel on roof tops and still wont to this day. A year before his accident he ran in to two boys playing on the roofs a cat and a hedgehog when he saw one fall acting quickly he went after the young hedgehog! but it was all in vain because the young hedgehog had landed on a flag pole springing himself back up right past Runner! Runner followed suite and pulled the boy aside. Runner did not have to introduce him self but the boy was all too willing to introduce him self to Runner stating "I'm Red! Red the hedgehog! and I AM your BIGGEST fan" Runner was still in awe ant the risk this kid put himself though "why were you jumping off the ledge like that!" runner raised his voice "you should know better! I do this cause I know HOW so what's you story Red!" Red taken back because of Runners stern words softly stated "I wanna be just like you when I grow up Runner"

from then on Runner took Red under his wing teaching him to free run and to fight in what styles you ask
Runner never told Red he always told him "I don't need a fancy name to upper cut some one or kick but I just need to know how to do them"

now fast forwarding a year

Red and Runner were well known as a bad ass team were ever Runner was Red was hot on his heals. one rainy night Red and Runner were making there rounds when Red slipped Runner once again acted! he caught Red but had nothing to catch he told Red hastefully "both of us can't take this fall but I'll save you!" Red could faintly here him the rushing wind was louder in his ears. Runner positioned him self under Red and they hit the ground with a hard thud Red was fading in and out of conscious and Runner was gravely injured his legs were numb and he couldn't move them. he could feel blood trickling out of his side. some of his ribs had broken out he stroked the back of the unconscious Reds head "it's getting cold buddy. but I want you to know your like a son to me and I want you to keep running free I won't be here when you wake up." Runner knew the ambulance would never get there in time to save him. it seem like hours but it was only 15 minutes until a passer by had seen them and called for help

Runner died on the ride to the hospital
Red only suffered a broken arm thanks to his hero's sacrifice
Runners last words to the medic were "see that kid? this town is his now...his name is Red the Parkour"

Red recovered from his broken arm but never seamed to recover from Runner death
Red was put on trial...
the police suspected foul play at 1st
Red even pleaded guilty to the death of his friend
but after the all he was found not guilty
but people still blamed Red after word they shunned him and stared as he walked past "he's a hero killer" they would whisper amongst each other
over the year Red grew distant from friends and family
he was there but not mentally he always seemed so far off even when he was siting across the room
on the 1st anniversary of Runners death,
the city raised a statue of runner in a park near the site of there accident the parks name was changed to Free Park.
